Bear Arms by tijo (2026), 150 × 120 cm acrylic and paint pen on linen. Two cartoon bears stand side by side against a deep ultramarine night sky under a scribbled pale full moon. The central purple teddy bear has white-ringed blue saucer eyes, pink inner ears, a pink snout, a red-framed mouth grid of white triangle teeth, a red heart on its chest, a hatched repair patch on one shoulder, and POWER lettered in dark blue down a cobalt strip at its hip. Its arm rises behind a smaller black bear with orange horns, orange flames burning inside white eyes, a single black tear, and fur scratched with a pentagram, stacked triangles, crosses, a star, a broken heart, 666 and other numbers. A large red balloon floats above them on a string. On the left, white missiles with lettered bodies, the tallest reading PATRIOT, climb on yellow flame trails over a small scrawled city and a row of green pines; quadcopter drones hover in the sky, small red balloons drift on white strings, and one white rocket bursts through a red balloon in an orange explosion. A royal-blue panel of scrawled words, INNOCENCE among them, fills the lower right beside the black bear’s leg.

Boy & Dog V2 by tijo (2026), 150 × 120 cm acrylic on canvas. A neo-expressionist painting on a deep umber-brown ground: on the left a white-outlined skeletal boy with a black oval head, single white circle eye containing a black triangle, white block teeth with a pink tongue, a red heart and a pink X on the chest, and white femur bones for a leg. On the right a large black-and-white dog with black floppy ears, mismatched square and circle eyes, a pink nose, a silver keyboard-grid of teeth, white X-crosses stitched down its back, and a pink intestinal coil in the belly. Between them a white horned third-eye totem with an orange ring radiates black lines. US PATENT # 1,974,483 (1934) is lettered in dark blue; white physics equations are chalked across the upper left; an orange sun with glyph inscriptions burns in the upper right; faint yellow script threads through the white outlines. Signed tijo in a scratched heart with © and TM marks.
