Fear No Evil

STUDIO ENTRY · 2026

The painting is Psalm 23 rewritten as a money-devil. A red horned face with cross-X eyes and a pink grin full of teeth — Mr. Monopoly's nightmare and an altar boy at the same time. Above the head: MONEY MAN $ and a halo of dollar signs falling like rain. To the right, the King James line WHEN I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH spelled across a tan column in purple crayon, the word DEATH dropping down the side. Behind the demon, a dark slab of pink handwritten prose about corporations, governments, and individuals — the abyss, the asylum, the witch, the herd, the cost of stepping out of line. Yellow alchemical sigils glow on the dark side like protection. At the bottom: red ground, ANGELS, LOVE, a yellow heart hidden in a small white grid. The whole thing reads as the modern psalm: the prayer you say when the devil you fear and the god you bargain with are the same currency.
